Accusations of Bestiality outside Bobby Vans

I had lunch outside of Bobby Vans a few weeks ago. Was told that I needed to tie my dog at a near by bench because dogs were not allowed under the table. No problem, I understood.

So I tied my little poodle/bichon on a bench about 2 feet away so I could be close to her. A man went to sit on the bench, shoved my tiny poodle aside so she wouldn't be close to him. After I told him he had nerve shoving a small dog he proceeded to say she was trying to sniff his crotch (which wasn't true). Anyway I brought attention to what a jerk he was. If my husband were there I doubt he would have pulled that stunt.

  1. Look, I have to say it. Your dog belonged at home. If there is a bench on the sidewalk, it's not for your dog to sit on, it's for people. Seriously, it's not just about you and your needs.

  2. I have to say it. It's the Hamptons. Sadly, it's ALL about you and your needs there.

  3. Pretty rude to even think you could bring your dog to a restaurant. You had to be asked to not have your dog under the table?? Yes, very rude of you indeed. And Bravo! for the man who said something to you about the bench! PH...keep your dog at home!

  4. Problem is that no one considers that a real dog.

  5. Your dog belongs at home. It is against the NYS Health Code to bring a dog into a restaurant - whether it be inside or outside. Unless your dog was a certified service dog, then it had no business being brought into a restaurant. Not everyone is a dog lover, I applaude the man who gently pushed your dog away. No one has to let your dog climb all over them simply because you feel it's necessary to bring a living "accessory" with you everywhere. I'm sick of seeing people with little dogs in their shopping carts in TJ Maxx and KMart - leave the dogs at home, people!

  6. I am very allergic to dogs and I resent that all summer long people think their dogs belong everywhere....Leave the dogs at home!
