Look who's nesting in the Piping Plovers nest

Nice to see humans exerting their dominate position in the food chain.

Blind spots on Three Mile Harbor road

A number of years ago, this was the rudest thing that happened to me and my husband.

We were at the intersection of Springs Fireplace Road and Three Mile Harbor road when a large suv swung in on our right and purposely blocked our view so we couldn't see if any traffic was coming down Three Mile Harbor road. He sat there for at least 4 or 5 minutes so we just took our chance and pulled out onto the road.

We didn't dare challenge him as there are so many crazies out there.

Can everyone just be nice?

I have been enjoying some of the stories on your website.

I notice there are very few if any stories of rude people that live out here full-time. I am sick of the loud, jersey shore type thumping music that our "local" neighbors grown kids play all weekend out here. I cannot believe how much is charged for the most simple service yet still it's never done. How lazy and resentful have people gotten?

Two weeks ago my friend and I were shopping at the Sag Harbor Surf shop and asking the nice cashier about all the various sunscreens during our checkout. I suppose we took too long for the young locals behind us as they rudely and loudly muttered "Tourists."

I can assure you; we are far from tourists here and even if we were what does that even matter?  I think it's time to realize that it's best not to be so bitter with each other whatever the reason.

Life is too short and so is summer!

Citizens on patrol in Southampton

About 6 yrs ago, my husband who is a volunteer fireman, while camping at Coopers Beach attending the Southampton muster.
This little old lady with her VW bug was turning around in the parking lot. She hit a truck, hit the same truck again in her attempt to turn around and was about to leave the parking lot. So a bunch of us decided to stand in front of her car so she couldn't leave.

She told us that "she was late for her tennis lesson" and wanted to leave.

We just waited for the police to arrive and the owner of the truck to arrive as we stood in front of her car so she couldn't leave!

So that was my "Rude in the Hamptons" Story
